I was the child at school that was good at art.
My mother who was a painter encouraged my drawings.
My grandmother on my Fathers side was also a very good artist.
I grew up with the constant smell of oil paints and turpentine.
I studied fine arts at Windsor University then switched over to OCAD to build a portfolio and pursue a career in advertising.
I did the creative’s for an Ad Agency before successfully starting my own advertising business.
Now retired and enjoying summers at our new cottage on Baptiste Lake, there was time to be creative. Hanging on the walls I saw three generations of artwork.
The third being my kids. I was the missing artist. By 2014, I was hooked on painting.
Since 1963, four generations of artists have been inspired here.
The intrigue of art is that you never know where you will go next.
